Stan McGrew here is the wisest wizard at McGrew Studios (or anywhere else). He and my amazing mother are largely to blame for all the crazy creations that have colonized my life. This is what happens when you have an arts-oriented kid and encourage them. Parents, beware.
The fabric in this costume is a fantastic knit called French Terry, from Design Company Fabrics SLC. It’s a fabric with terrific weight, drape, and most of all- texture. We’ve used it in numerous items, from Game of Thrones-style capes and gowns, to other medieval and period pieces, plus in this wizard costume you see here.
